Feature Category: API / Integrations Overview Development of additional bidirectional API endpoints to manage user skills, certifications, and external learning records. A real-time integration capabilities with our other internal systems (e.g., HRIS, etc). To fully automate workflows, ideally, we'd get full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) capabilities, specifically GET, POST, PUT, and PATCH, across the following domains: Skills Management API Ability to sync skill data and user proficiency levels between HowNow and external systems in real-time. Specific Requirements: Query User Skills (GET): Retrieve a list of which users hold which skills, including their current assessed proficiency level. Read System Skills (GET): Pull the master list of available skills and levels from this platform to map to our external systems. Write/Update User Skills (POST/PUT): The ability for an external system to write new skills to a user's profile, update their skill levels, or add new baseline skills to the platform's overall database. Certifications & External Learning API Specific Requirements: Parity with SFTP: The API must support reading and writing all data fields that are currently available in the standard SFTP import/export templates. Logged Learning Records: The ability to POST and GET records of external learning (e.g., "log-learning" entries) so that training completed in other systems accurately reflects on the user's profile here. Certifications: Endpoints to award, update, and track the expiration/renewal dates of user certifications. Business Value & Impact Having full API access for these specific areas will allow customers to build further real-time integrations rather than relying on batch SFTP processes.
