Manually add users to a group

I would like to manually add a user to a group which does not get overridden by the feed overnight. Eg adding a non-manager to a Manager group (which is traditionally fed by the HR integration and then erases any manual changes overnight)

Is there a reason you don't want to add the User to the Group according to the HRIS rules? 
What is the scenario where you'd like to add a User to the Group without them necessarily "matching" the rules?

Alfie from HowNow: Hi Alfie - a scenario is where we are doing Manager training but would like HRBPs to see the training too. Our HR Business Partners are not line managers and if we do the AND/OR statements are quite limited. (May need a call to explain more on this point).
