Impersonate User

As an administrator, I would like a way to view content like any user in the system so that I can quickly assist someone that is having difficulty viewing a course, seeing something as locked, is not seeing something in their Must Do or For Me section, or even is not subscribing to the appropriate channels. Having a view that helps me understand what their experience looks like would go a long way to ensuring they have access to the right things at the right times.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on this feature request.
Whilst we agree that this feature could be useful - it isn't something we're prioritising right now.
We'll keep an eye on this feature to determine if it's something we'll look into later on.

This would tie in really well to the "super admin/user" post...

I believe this could be quite useful for troubleshooting a particular user's report of something not working the way they think it should be working. I also see great value in being able to capture the user's experience from their perspective. From a user coming into the platform - where is training located, how do they see the next thing to learn. As we curate content out (especially if we're using special rules to make it available) to make sure it shows up to the right folks (that we got the criteria correct for the users/groups we intended.) It could even be useful for assisting managers to ensure they're seeing the appropriate team members and groups when they look into their team(s)/group(s) and what content is being utilized.

Hey folks,
This sounds like something we could look into longer term but isn't planned for our current roadmap.
Would love to get some additional insight from you all on this one:
- Where would you like to be able to see this? Would you like to be able to select "view as User X" and then mimic their experience?
- What do you see as the biggest point of value in this? Would it just be to aid in troubleshooting for users?

Alfie from HowNow: Seems like a basic requirement for me within the implementation phase, to be able to see what the user sees
Alfie from HowNow
Thanks Sarah James I'm still unclear on the value of the requirement - why is it useful to be able to see what the user sees?

Alfie from HowNow: I agree with other clients on this one. This feature is very important to us. Very often we as admins feel blind as to how things look for users & managers making it hard for us to help both with troubleshooting, training and understanding what different users can do in the system, how to view information/data/reporting. Today we almost always need to do screen sharing before we can help them out, or even understand what they actually can see.

Ulrika Hofman: Thanks for sharing this with me.
This isn't a feature we're going to prioritise right now, but I'd like to understand ,beyond training and troubleshooting, the value of this.
- Which parts of the platform are you finding you have to train people to use most?
- Which parts of the platform are you finding are unclear and your people need more support with?
It may be a better use of development effort for us to make things more 'intuitive' or improve our product knowledge initiatives to ensure your people don't need as much guidance - freeing up your timE!
