We give every employee a £500 development allowance and requests need to be approved by their line leader. Right now an employee can submit a request for over the £500 and it will show in tasks to approve and it only stops going through when the approver goes to approve. It would be great if the system recognised this was over their balance and didn't allow it to be submitted.
Secondly, it's a bit clunky that whilst an individual choses an approver to send their request to, this still shows up as a task on HowNow for other budget owners. A few leaders have been confused and questioned why they've got requests for people that aren't in their team. Could this be removed so it's just the approver that gets the request? I appreciate the need to reduce a bottleneck happening so perhaps it would be good to increase admin functionality so if you're an admin you don't have to be listed as a budget owner in each budget and can still approve/decline. It feels silly that an admin of the platform doesn't have these rights.
